Wild Rescue, Inc. is dedicated to creating North Texas's first ever wildlife rehabilitation and education center. We have an incredible variety of animals that share the land with us here and, as that land is developed and we come in closer and more frequent contact with those animals, an increasing need for a place that serves the needs of the wildlife and people alike. At our Wild Rescue, Inc. Wildlife Center, we will:
- house a wildlife hospital where injured animals can be brought by the public for treatment by veterinarians and trained rehabilitators
- act as a central hub for information, transport, and support for the areas many fine wildlife rehabilitators
- have an educational program designed for the public on the importance of wildlife in our ecosystem and how they can have a positive impact on our furred and feathered friends
- train a volunteer force on all aspects of wildlife rehabilitation, from intake to critical care to release
- permanently house injured wildlife that have been determined to be unsuitable for release
- house the Rabbit's Rest domestic rabbit sanctuary
It is our goal to create a center where all animals of North Texas are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. And it is our goal to create a world that recognizes the importance of those animals, and the need for a peaceful, healthy coexistence with them.
